Place the bearing over the hole in the wheel and try and make sure that it is straight/level as possible. Place either a block of wood or an old paperback book over the top of the bearing and gently strike this with the hammer (Important - do not strike the bearing directly with the hammer). When the bearing has been hammered in fully into the hole in the middle of your wheel it should sit flush with the edge of the wheel Turn the wheel over and insert the bearing spacer (you will need a bearing spacer, if you do not use one your wheel will not spin when you do your axles up securely!)

Trailer Bearings for all types of boat trailers - both tapered roller and ball bearings. The most popular bearings fitted to trailers are Tapered Roller Bearings. They come as two separate parts called the cup and cone. Some are supplied with a seal built in as an integral part of the bearing cone.
